India are all set to face Pakistan in the Champions Trophy on Sunday, June 4. As always, the off-field banter has begun days ahead of the contest.

Zimbabwe slipped from a solid position of 141 for 2 to 237 for 8 by Stumps on Day 1 of the Second Test against Pakistan at Harare.

Sri Lanka are in the driver’s seat in the Pallekele Test thanks to a heroic knock from Thisara Perera followed up by an early Pakistani wicket. By the close of play on Day 3, Pakistan are 27 for 1 in 6 overs having conceded a first innings lead of 111 runs.

Pakistan hold a definite advantage in the Pallekele Test after reducing Sri Lanka to 44 for 3 by the close of Day 1. It was a strong fightback from the Pakistanis led by left arm quick Junaid Khan after the visitors were bundled out for 226.

The Second Test at SSC, Colombo ended in an expected draw. Sri Lanka worked hard to ensure a draw which was sealed in the morning session through a solid partnership between Kumar Sangakkara and Angelo Mathews.

The SSC Test has come alive with Sri Lanka needed to bat extremely well on the morning session on Day 5 to ensure a draw. The match was considered to be dead once Dilshan and Sangakkara had gone past their respective centuries. However, a couple of late blows from young left arm pacer Junaid Khan inspired Pakistan to reduce Sri Lanka to 278 for 5 by Stumps on Day 4.
